Presenting Round 2, the Second Round of the 08-09 Florida Trail Riders Championship Series on September 14, 2008 at Bithlo Motocross Park, Bithlo FL

Gate Fees are as follows:

Here is my review of the track and event at Bithlo put on by the florida trail riders.
Practice day sat was the only day we attended, after a 20$ gate fee and 20$ to ride, plus gas to get out there. We decided not to come back the next day for the actual race but instead to go out to deltona and ride some woods.

Event:

Practices: where short, about 4 laps with a nice bit of riders

Facility's: Poor maintained mens bathroom (but none are ever nice) the grounds seemed nicely maintained with plenty of room for parking and a trailer. Ample trash cans. The road to enter into bithlo was deplorable for a trailer, needed graded long before we drove it. Food available but didnt eat it. No parts store on premises, plenty of bikes for sale. Lots of shade to stand under while watching other riders, making for a good spectator area's but no bleachers so bring chairs.

Track: It was a nice track with some really nice tight corners and good straight aways to help my 450 breath and really open up. Jumps where kinda weak but decent to keep speed threw the track. Unfortunately with the large number of people the lips on the jumps were kinda beat by the time we got out there. Matt Zeiler was acting like a jackass doing little whips over some whoops ended up catchings something with his tire making for a spectacular wreck filling his goggles with dirt ahah.

Dirt: The dirt is more of a powdery type of sand mixed with brown dirt dirt. Didnt really have to wash the bikes off as opposed to the typical paxtrax.

Drive there: We took 95 down to 50 instead of the typical I4 way. I highly recommend it if you are trying to get there with little BS. Some good scenery on the way out with airboat rides running up the water and a gater farm. There is not many gas stations with one almost right next (EAST to the track that we stopped at for diesel. It was decent nothing good nothing bad except they didnt have oreo's
