Hey everyone! Sorry i havent been posting much. Ive been hittin it hard with racing almost every week these last two months!
Well it was the 3rd round of the OMA series http://www.unitedoffroadracing.com and finally a dry race! The first two races in Tennessee and Kentucky were nasty!! But thats another story.
Today however the complete opposite!! HOT and DUSTY!! luckily ive been hittin it hard with the cardio in the heat or i would have fell flat on my face 1/2 way through. Well my Frazier Motorsports (new website coming soon [fraziermotorsports.com]) backed KTM200 got off to a good start. I was about 3rd in the corner. You know the saying "rubbin is racing!"?...they weren't lying. haha. man I felt like i was in a mosh pit in that first and second corner. Well i got a good jump on every one and left them all to sort their way through the major dust cloud! I used that to my advantage and pushed hard to break away from the pack which worked out great. The first half of the race i was running 2nd overall A, 1st in my class (lightA) and 13th overall. (there were 20 pro's and about 200+ riders) Well the 4th lap was the pit stop. Gas, goggles, and water down the back. Considering I dont have an IMS quick fill system that pours 3 gallons in about 4 seconds, my pit stop was verrrry slow and gave 2nd and 3rd place in my class a chance to catch up and pass me, along with a few Heavy A riders. Well i got on my way finally and made a charge to catch back up with everyone that had passed me but i just ran out of time. I ended up with 3rd in my class and 18th overall. 7 mile course. I was on the bike for about 2 hours and about 13 minutes. The track was sick! There were some pretty sweet up hills that you could hit 3rd gear wiiiiide open and jump up the hill. But you had to hit a rock face that was like 3 feet from this huge tree. It made me pucker up a bit. great crowd pleaser tho! :D It was also fun jumping over the amish people when they were walking through the creek. That caught me off guard. haha I had a blast though! anyone who wants to race a good race or even a whole series, OMA's are the races to be at. check em out!
ALSO! I got hooked up with a helmet cam from the producers of Well Wasted Time films! I wore it during the race and once they get it uploaded and together ill have it posted on my site! ill let you know when! it should be some sick footage!!!
