Jordan Racing and Attack Kawasaki Lead the Charge in the U.S.
Richmond, CA, April 27 - (Motor Sports Newswire) - LeoVince-sponsored teams compete in all major motorcycle championships in the world. From AMA Pro Racing Superbike to MotoGP to the FIM World MX championships, LeoVince is part of many winning teams.
New for 2009, is the addition of Aaron Yates on the Brand Jordan Superbike and Geoff May on the National Guard Superbike. Yates will carry the legendary #23 of Team Owner Michael Jordan’s unmatched NBA playing career. Geoff May will pilot the #54 National Guard Superbike entry, paying homage to the 50 states and 4 territories that the National Guard serves. LeoVince will continue its relationship with Attack Kawasaki as it now becomes the Monster Energy, Attack Kawasaki Team with riders Jamie Hacking, Roger Hayden and fresh from the Red Bull Rookie’s Cup ranks Leandro Mercado. LeoVince will also continue its relationship with KWS Racing, which now will be the official Aprilia Factory team with riders Chaz Davies and Ben Thompson. LeoVince will also be sponsoring Rookie’s Cup contender Clint Shobert, son of legendary racer Bubba Shobert fresh off a third place podium finish Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.
In MotoGP, Team Gresini Racing returns with riders Alex De Angelis and Tony Elias on the Honda RC212V. World Superbike and Supersport teams include Hannspree Althea Honda and Team Stiggy Motorsports featuring John Hopkins and Team DF Racing with Regis Laconi in the Superbike class.
LeoVince starts the off-road season with Paul Whibley of GEICO/JG Racing Monster Kawasaki leading the GNCC series after a win and a second place in the first two races of the year.
For U.S. Supercross and Supermoto, LeoVince again teams up with the Rockstar/Hart&Huntington Tattoo Co. featuring Troy Adams and Matt Boni in SX and number-one plate holder Steve Drew in Supermoto. In the FIM World MX championships, LeoVince teams include CAS Honda with MX1 riders Billy Mackenzie and Cedric Melotte and Team Di Carli with former MX2 World Champion Antonio Cairoli now competing in the MX1 class.
LeoVince also continues to dominate amateur roadracing in the U.S. garnering over 100 individual championships in the 2008 season.
