I just got an SV 650 rear wheel and I am going to be making this work first then i will buy the expensive wheels.

I have to say this fits really nice (even though i dont have the sprocket carrier hub yet on) but still looks like its going to be a really good option to go a cheap route at the moment.

Does anything know what the difference is between the years of SV650 wheels, if there even is a difference?

how much space does the cush drive eat up? things may get a bit tight after that and the sprocket are in . I know it took me awhile to get my supermoto set spaced right on my wr . I started by making spacers for the brake side . the made the other spacer to fit the swingarm . then made a third spacer to get the spocket lined up right. If I was to do it again I'd go with a rim less then 5 inches. it would make fitting things easier and I would think it would help the radius of the tire to , by making it more rounded

Im looking for a cush drive now, hopefully doesnt eat much, Im going to build a spacer/caliper mount to position the brake on the bottom of the caliper.

like this picture.

Lets see a picture of your rear wheel?

I didnt think that 5inch would fit so good in there, i guess when i order my wheels i will definatly get a 5 and do a comparison, with my opinion of each. I just have to get the damn thing running NOW!

I would not call a real good fit it's tight . I still have not put on my graves chain block but you can see how it acts without . I'd go with a 4.5 or a 4.25 it I were to do it again.

this is as good as it gets even with a .25 spocket spacer

Is that tire a 160 or 150?

that's a pilot power 160 . it really would not make much of a differance look how cloce the rim is

I just got the cush drive for the 650 wheel and it looks like im going to have to take of the mount for the rear brake on the inside of the swingarm and put the brake rotor underneath the rear caliper. which i planned to do other wise. Still looks like it might be tight though with space.

before u start cutting...here's what the WERA rulebook says: "Frame and swingarm must remain stock. Frame tabs may be cut off or added to facilitate mounting of exhaust and rearsets. No other modifications are allowed. Spool mounts are the only allowable modification to the swingarm."

just trying to help..

Good lookin !, but I read everything that the WERA official "Mongo" on the wera forum had to say and someone asked this specific question and he said it is allowed. :)

read it right here. . .
