UMBRELLA! That is one item that is a must for this track! This track is ALWAYS and i mean ALWAYS muddy....ALWAYS! haha. Well I emptied a can of WD40 all over my bike. (keeps the mud from sticking as easily) Sign up, slow. Wisdom teeth, on fire!! Raining. I didnt think it was going to be a good day. I just had my wisdom teeth removed the Thursday prior to the race. 3 days is definitely not enough time for them to heal. Well im at the line getting ready. The flagger raises the flag and yells "40 seconds!" Then shortly after that a "30 seconds!" cue. So im like alright cool. As soon as he says 10 seconds, ill put my foot up on my kick starter. (dead engine format) Well all this time is going by and im starting to realize that he's not giving a 10 seconds cue. As soon as I lift my foot to put it on the starter, he drops the flag which in turn make me kick and miss and the starter goes in and i kicked twice after that! DEAD LAST off the line! The whole first lap I had to fight my way to the front! Columbus is notorious for bottle necks and rocks and off camber hills. I've also broken two collar bones there and for some reason i keep coming back. Well the track was SICK! fast. Some technical hills and creeks. Other than that. Nothing out of the norm for an IN harescramble. Well I fought my way up to the front. Got there, and rode it out the rest of the way! My teeth felt great. My stamina was PREEEMOOO!! At the end of the race, i could have gone another two hours! What i thought was going to be a bad day, turned out great! Got up on the podium. Got some photo's snapped off the my SIX FEET DEEP CLOTHING http://www.sfdclothing.comshirt on and walked away with a #1 trophy and two bottles of Lucas Oil. (the lawn mower is due for an oil change) :D
