Acadiana Dirt Riders 2009 Cajun Classic

National Enduro Event Description

In the heart of the Kisatchie National Forest near Forest Hill, Louisiana, in an area that was once known as Camp Claiborne, a WWII training camp, the Acadiana Dirt Riders will stage Round 4 of the AMA/Rekluse National Enduro Championship Series on March 29, 2009. Camp Claiborne is where over 500,000 troops trained for World War II and was the third largest city in Louisiana during those war years.

The 75 mile event course consists of three separate loops, and will challenge the riders with several tight piney woods test sections that have off-camber, small hilly terrain, and a few mogul areas, some of which were created by war-time bombing exercises. The transfer sections will offer more open flowing trails through some nice hardwood areas that pass near the remnants of concrete bunkers and other former Army camp relics.

Fifteen spectator points will allow support crews ample opportunity to give assistance to their riders, as well as offer some good photo-ops. Included again this year are ADR’s legendary “Big Cut” hill climb and the AOK Log Jam.
