World Enduro Canada is pleased to announce the Canadian Enduro Championship (CEC) for 2009. This exciting form of off-road motorcycle racing is new to Canada and based on the International format of motorcycle racing. With the success of the inaugural race in Parry Sound Ontario in 2008, WEC has expanded the program to create an eight race Championship series. Each day of competition in the eight race series is scored individually Class and overall champions are determined by their accumulated score.
Enduro Race format
-Series competitors will not require expensive computer clocks or route sheet holders.
- Motorcycles do not require license plates or expensive insurance.
-Competitors will not require a driver’s license. (Note: There will be a minimum age requirement.)
-Single paddock area means that pit crews are not required to chase the rider.
-Special tests near the paddock make for a spectator friendly event.
-Each CEC event is held on an off-road closed course.
DATES AND LOCATIONS
July 4 & 5 2009 Blairmore, Alberta
July 11 & 12 Okanagan Valley, British Columbia
September 12 & 13 Labelle, Quebec
September 19 & 20 Parry Sound, Ontario
WEC RACE scoring
World Enduro Canada has secured the only electronic scoring system in Canada designed for off-road racing use. The transponders worn by all competitors provide prompt, accurate race results. The interactive race results and series results posted on the WEC website allows the rider to analyze each loop and check point scores.
